What is Legacy Pro?
Legacy Pro is a roleplay-based, head-written e-fed that uses real, active wrestlers only. It is set in an alternate reality where Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson invested in starting his own wrestling promotion. We currently run on a bi-weekly (every other week) schedule, with a regular show called Ignited and quarterly PPVs to help pay-off storylines.
What does "roleplay-based" mean?
After every card is posted, players will post roleplays as the wrestlers they handle. Staff will judge which player did the best job, and the player that was judged best will be declared the winner. Their win will then be reflected in the show results.
There are two types of roleplays: ones associated with a match, and character development (or CD for short) roleplays. The second type is any time you post a roleplay without being booked. Posting a CD is a good way for players and staff to know the vision of your character you had in mind. As a rule, if you post a CD, staff will make every effort to have your character appear in the next show in a cameo role.
What does "head-written" mean?
This is our way of describing an old-school way of running feds. Long story short, you write your roleplays and leave the results to us. No need to submit segments. Of course if you have something you want to be sure is reflected in the final results, by all means make suggestions or requests to staff. But ultimately staff has the final say of what happens on the show. This allows you to focus just on your roleplays, and gives a serious sense of the unknown for the most people! It a collaborative effort; we respond to what you write in roleplays, and you in turn respond to what occurred on the show.
What does real and active wrestler mean?
Real is fairly easy to explain; the wrestler you are applying for can't be a CAW.
As for "active", wrestlers must pass ALL of the following criteria to be applicable on Legacy Pro.
-They must be alive and physically capable of wrestling
-They must have had a match in the last 2 years according to Cagematch.net.
-They must not be under investigation for criminal activity.
Remember that your wrestlers are the age they are in the real world now; you can't apply for Triple H circa 2001.
How are roleplays judged?
There is no hard and fast rule of what determines a good roleplay. However, here are the top things that staff will look for when judging winners.
-Character consistency: Does the roleplay show a version of the character that seems consistent with either how that wrestler performs in real-life, or is at least consistent with that player's vision of that wrestler's ability?
-Match Relevance: How does the roleplay address the match at hand for the wrestler?
-Storyline Progression: Here at LegacyPro, we are very storyline oriented. As such, we expect players to have their character's journeys move forward.
-Creativity: Sometimes a straight backstage interview is the best way to get information across. But we've also all seen and read that dozens of times over. Doing something different and unexpected will likely catch staff's attention.
-Entertainment: At the end of the day, is your roleplay fun to read? Does it pull the reader through and keep ahold of them throughout?
In addition to the above, roleplays are expected to be original and written for this fed; player found plagiarizing material, either from other writers or even their own past work, will automatically be disqualified and will lose their match.
Worth noting: For tag matches, all roleplays are judged independently, and the team with the BEST single roleplay will win and where possible earn the pin in the results.
Do you use word counts?
Yes! Traditionally word counts fall as follows:
How many wrestlers can I claim?
We allow players to claim up to 3 wrestlers maximum, with tag teams who primarily compete as a team considered a single claim. Players also must follow the rules of 2 and 1, meaning that if you apply for two singles wrestlers, your third claim must be a tag team and vice versa. Similarly, if your first two claims are both women, your third claim must be a man, and vice versa. This guarantees a diversity of the roster. It is worth noting that the tag division in Legacy Pro is intergender, meaning men and women can fight on the same team AND against each other. The other championships are all in set divisions, men's and women's, but intergender singles matches may be booked as relevant to feuds.
At each PPV, there will be a thread to announce if you plan to drop any of the characters you currently handle. Characters can't be dropped until the PPV time.
All I care about is gold! What belts can I go for?
This will be expanded upon in-world, but there is currently a plan for a World Title belt, a Women's World Title, and a Tag Title which allows intergender competition. More plans for these belts will be introduced within world.
What is considered "canon?"
This is always a question that hovers around real-wrestler games, essentially what from the real world of wrestling is considered to have happened and what has not? In general, Legacy Pro uses the old DC rule of Hypertime: if something needs to have happened for a storyline to work, then it happened. Conversely, if something needs to have not happened for a storyline to work, then it doesn't happen. Of course as is always the expectation, if your history affects another character in the game, it is expected that you discuss is with that wrestlers handler.
As far as events set within the world of Legacy Pro, everything in results is considered hard-set canon. Staff's intention is to allow all roleplays to stand as canonical true, but reserves the right to ignore or retcon roleplays they consider problematic for the ongoing health of the game.
No other history from other feds is considered canonical.
What will lead me to getting banned?
We don't want to be aggressive with removing players from the game, if for no other reason because we feel diversity makes for a better community. That said, there are certain things that we feel have no place in a creative online environment, and thus will be treated with quickly.
-Out of character Hate Speech, and in extreme cases even in character hate speech
-Harassment of other players
-Consistently abrasive or generally negative behavior
This list is not exclusive, and as such may be added to over time.
Do you have one of those fancy Discords?
We do! You can join it over here.
Who is running this clown show anyway?
The head staff of Legacy Pro is Rando, who has been around the e-fedding scene for 15+ years. This is his first stab at staffing, but hey, you gotta start somewhere right?

Do you use word counts?
Yes! Traditionally word counts fall as follows:
Main Event Matches: 6000 Words
Mid-Card Matches: 3000 Words
Openers: 1500 Words
Mid-Card Matches: 3000 Words
Openers: 1500 Words
Every posted card will include the associated word-count for each match. Also, if both players in a match agree to a higher or lower word count than the default set, just inform staff of the change.
When is deadline?
Deadline for episodes of Ignited and PPVs will traditionally be Saturday Night at 11:59 EST. The specific deadline for each card will be noted when it is posted. Cards are posted bi-weekly. It is worth noting, that if you want your non-booked character to be reflected in results, please post your CD at least 48 hours before deadline (that'd be by Thursday night).
How do I get booked for a show?
Booking threads will be posted every two weeks, typically during the period that roleplays for the most recent card is ongoing. To have your character booked in a match, you MUST post in the booking thread. If you miss three booking threads in a row, and aren't posting CDs, staff will assume you have left the game and will remove you from the roster.
I am not booked but want to post a CD. Where do I put those?
Character development RPs should always be posted in the same thread as the show they are relevant to. If they are posted within 48 hours of the deadline, we will try to reflect your character in the results in some way.
What happens if I no-show a match?
Real life happens. If you're not going to be able to post a roleplay, staff will understand. That said, please let us know if you are fairly sure you're not going to post a roleplay. That helps us be better prepared for your absence and aren't waiting until the very last minute. If you no-show and don't tell us, you get a single warning. Do it again, and you'll be removed from the active roster.
